Mireille A. "Mimi" Herbst

Mireille passed away at the age of 103. She was born in Mont-Saint-Pere, France in 1922. Mireille met her husband Ralph through the American Red Cross in Reims, France during the war where he was stationed. They were married in Reims at the Methodist Church on May 15, 1946. Mireille came to America to Hastings, Nebraska first where Ralph was born and met his family in July 1946. Then they went to Los Angeles, California to settle and made their home there. They came to Eugene to retire in 1990. They were married 44 years...44 happy years. Mireille continued living in Eugene and kept busy knitting hats and matching scarves for CASA, charity work for children. She enjoyed gardening and reading.

Mimi is survived by many friends and family who loved her dearly.
